“Edge of the World” or it’s more frank name “Duck Fountain” was the beginning of me exploring bringing my inner self out. I am a child at heart who loves to feel magic in my everyday life.

As I was painting this, a narrative emerged. I felt like the duck was mother nature, the lily pads were like little islands on a flat earth. There’s also a cheeky little frog (the source) overlooking the entire “planet”. An arm of the Milky Way makes an appearance too.

Some lily pads are a bit thicker as I first started to play around with impasto.

  • Oil painting on canvas

  • Satin varnish finish

  • Ready to hang (unframed)

  • Free shipping within Australia

  • Ready to ship

  • 39 × 39 cm

  • Wrapped in my signature maroon tissue paper, perfect for gifting!

What do you think this painting is about?

Abstracts have always been scary to me but it can be so freeing to just paint what you feel like without much plan. It's something I'll keep exploring and want to get better at 🥰

This is part two of my Australian flora collection. I'm really trying to think in terms of collections!

Compared to my Waratahs, I really wanted to be even more impressionistic and create depth with my
