I painted this while mourning the ending of my relationship. We mirrored each other so much that it seemed like magic, destiny. I learnt so much about myself by being with someone who is very similar to me. However life does it’s thing and it became clear that this relationship would be hard to sustain. It was the most mature ending I’ve ever had and we still love each other very much. Some thing aren’t mean to be forever but doesn’t mean it wasn’t sweet.
As all my abstracts go, they are just what I’m feeling at the time. I love the airiness, it feels like hope and how painful experiences can still be beautiful. I did add the butterfly to signify the transformation this experience has left me. This one has left a positive impact on me that I’ll never forget.
