"Light After the Rain" Abstract #5 Original Artwork

$400.00

There’s a hush that falls after rain; when petals glisten, the sky is still stained, and the ground begins to breathe again. This painting captures that in-between moment, where earth and sky blur into one soft, golden pulse.

Loose strokes of white and bright florals push through textured soil, while glowing yellows drip from above like sunlight returning. Layers of deep purples and smoky blues ground the scene, making space for both shadow and bloom.

Created through an intuitive process using mixed media on Arches oil paper, this piece is part of my Fields of Becoming series — an exploration of emotion, memory, and freedom through playful, unplanned mark-making.

Medium: Acrylic, pastel, and textured mediums on Arches oil paper
Size: 31cm x 41 cm (12 × 16 inch)
Year: 2025
Signed and unframed

Shipped flat (due to thick texture).

Free shipping in Australia.

I never know what will come of my paintings but this one is blowing my socks off 🤯

I am LOVING the addition of the gold leaf. It just takes everything to the next level.

What do you think this painting should be called?

I was surprised to see my baby at @liverpoolpowerhouse plus here are a bunch of awkward photos in it's entirety 🤣 thanks @andy.sumner.art

This painting, "Trust the Glove" was the beginning of undoing my control and dipping my toes into so
One day I'll have my art hanging in galleries like this 😭 it looks so grand 🥹😍

I didn't know how finicky an old frame is and I probably should have looked up a thing or two but it's on and up... for now.

We'll take it down again tomorrow because
